Hello, a little about me.

Hello! For those new followers or anyone who doesn’t really know me well, I am going to take this week to re-introduce myself and share some things you might not know. My goal is to get back to my roots and be more vulnerable than I normally have been. I feel that is what God is calling me to do, so here we go.

This is me as a kid. Born and raised in Charleston, SC, I loved being a kid, loved playing, and having fun. But I did not have a typical childhood and experienced some abuse + trauma that was not ideal. The good news, I overcame all of it, and have forgiven and moved past it all. It was a LONG journey and lots of counseling–and still something that affects me at times. I don’t love sharing this because I never want to dwell on it but it is a part of my story and something I feel called to share. People often think I have had a cherished life–which in some ways I have, but have also had to overcome a ton of things that were hard and have required a lot of healing and forgiveness. It is not easy, but it is easier to let it go and to embrace it and remember, it has made me the person I am today. And I am proud of that person.

Thanks for being part of my journey and my life, and I hope my life story can help you in some way. I hope me sharing will help someone know it is ok, and know you are never alone in what you feel or go through. God is great and there is a reason for it all. Including us connecting and I am grateful for that. 🙏
