The LAST thing you want to give your followers is the “ick”.
Here are 5 reasons why you might be doing that:
You’re not being authentic: People know when you post just to post or share a Reel because it is trending and you are trying to get more followers. Just be you! People want real people to connect with and follow.
You’re always selling something: People don’t want to be constantly sold to. It’s best not always to ask your followers to do something but to provide something that is of value to them. Sure, your cute sweater might be that, but let them decide and ask you how to get it instead of asking them to buy it in every post.
Your post looks bad: If your post looks like something your teenager created for you, and if they are inconsistent in color and theme, your followers will notice and start to unfollow. Be polished and make it more professional-looking.
You’re inconsistent and one-sided: If you only post occasionally or when you remember. You are missing out. Your followers want to see you consistently to get to know you better, and they want to feel seen and heard. If they comment on something, reply. If they send you a DM, respond in a timely fashion. Be sure to visit their social media pages and do the same!
