Hello: seeing the babies grow

Having kids has been the greatest thing I have done in my life, but it has also been the hardest. I am sure most parents would say the same. And after having kids, I realized how hard my father had it raising so many of us, and also understood more why my mother wasn’t able to raise us when she was so young. For so long, I struggled if they loved me or if I was doing what I needed to as a mom. I worked, and still do work, a lot. They have been part of most of the events I ran, and have had there share of going to work events (which had some good perks) and helping me put together media kits or whatever else I had scattered around the house to get done.

They are finally teens and our relationships have never been closer. We are moving into being friends over parents and they are so loving and kind to me, which has been a major blessing. I am excited to watch them continue to mature and cannot wait to have the kind of deep and meaningful relationship like that one I have with my father. To all the mamas out there, you are doing great. Never forget that.
